D. 1882, entitled "an I Act to renew and amend ail Act entitled an Act ' to incorporate the Union, Gaffney City and Ruth- ( erford Railroad Company, approved March 18th 1878, asking that the question of subscription < or no subscription of the sum of twenty thousand dollars to the capital stock ot said Company, payable in Ronds of said Town ship, as provided ( by said Act, be submitted to the qualified electors of said Township. - And further that "the funds rcnlixed on said bonds to be expended exclusively in the construction of said Railroad within the limits of s.'.id Township. Said subscription to be made on condition that the Railroad enter l'inckney township not more than one mile and a half from Skull Shoals Ford on l'acolct River and run through the township on the most practicable route. ?JutpZ iv her eat, the said County Commissioners amount proposed to be subscribed, ncccording to the request of said 1'etition, at twenty thousand dollars, in seveu per cent.
