To Teachers.
rnilKUK will he an examination of teachers of
J., all grades in .Inly next. The notice is given
now in on lor that there may he no surprise ;
thafall may have time to prepare; that there
may he no room for excuses.
The examination will embrace History, Geography,
Arithmetic, Knglish Grammar and Spelling.
We will expect nil who do not now have
first grade certificates, to be prepared by that
time, to take first grades. W'c desire to have
none hut first grade teachers in the County.?
Kvery school needs such teachers, and all teachers
can become such by proper application.
We think that those who cannot master the
branches <>f study above mentioned, sufficiently
to take a first grade certificate, have mistaken
their calling and should retire from the school
room. We think that all teachers who are confident
of their proficiency, will consider it only
a pleasant duty to come before the Itoatd for
examination.
