BAILEY was a candidate for the office of School Commissioner, we now ask you to please publish the same. Mr. Bailey has spent the prime of bis life in preaching to '.he poor ; and has often been necessitated to undergo the heavy burden of teaching and preaching at the same time.? While he needs the office his friends do not put his name in nomination on this ground nlonc ; but on his own merits. C., April 5, 1880. J A CONVENTION to be composed of three Delegates from each township is hereby ordered to assemble nt Union Court House on Tuesday, 25lh May 1880, nt eleven o'clock A. M., to elect delegates to the State Convention, to the Judicial Convention, to the Congressional ^ Convention, to elect a County Chairman and County Executive Committee, and to transact such other business as may be proper. Township meetings of Democrats shall be held on Saturday 22d May, 1880, atclevcn o'clock A. M., at the folio wing named places respectively, to wit : Timber Ridge, Old Rridge Place. Kelly's Mill, Joncsville, Jasper Gibbs's, Cross Keys, Union Court House, Santuc, Fish Dam, Goshen Hill. Said meetings shall be called to order by the following named Club Presidents, respectively, viz: Timber ltidgo, by Noah Webster; Old Rridge Place, by Milton Patrick ; Kelly's Mills, by Thomas Comer; Jonosvillc, by W. T. Littleton ; Jasper Gibbs's, by J. F. Noruiau ; Cross Keys, by C. R. Hobo ; Union, by F. M. Farr ; Santuc, by George R. Tucker ; Fish Dam, by J. C. Richards ; Goshen Hill, by It. R. Lyons.
