Minter, was greatly fell, as he always made a fine exhibition of stock nid other products of the farm We regret that evere sickness of himself and uomc of his fauiIy, both now and for some weeks past, was the inly cause that prevented his being present and aking liis customary interest in the Fair. In the Field Crop department the exhibition was large and fine. The four bales of fine liny, from native and cultivated grasses, contradicted the ol'l repe ted ilatement that we cannot raise h iy iii^his secion of our country. When the two cxtraordiiary droughts of this year is taken into consideration, we arc compelled to believe that the hay exhibited is proof positive that it only requires he proper cultivation and care to enable our 'armors to en-ore a plentiful supply of the li licest hay and pasture for their stock. The exhibition of garden products was very nfcrior to what it has been at the prcions Fairs, 'his falling off can, no ilonht, lie attributed to be late eight weeks drought, which almost detroyed nearly all vegetal ion in the gardens.
