That a tax of one mill upon every dollar of all Ileal Estate end Stock in Trade in the Town of Union, be and the same is hereby levied, to meet the ordinary expeuses of the Municipal Govern* ment of said Iowa, for the fiscal year commencing 10th September, 1878. Sec. 2. That the sum of one dollar and a half is fixed as a commutation for Street or road duty, and the said sum isliereby required to bo paid by each and every able-bodied male person betwoen the ages of eighteeu and fifty years, who resido within the cooperate limits of said Town. Sec. 3. That the Town Treasurer do commence at once to collect the taxes heroin levied, atul that he keep his books open until the 20th day of April, 1879, after which time he shall proceed by distress or otherwiso, as prescribed by law, to collect such as remain unpaid, together with a pennlty of twenty per cent.
