Yki.i.ow Fever in New York.?New York, July 19.?A report was prevalent yesterday that yeljow fever had broken out among the seamen on the United States men-of-war ( olorado and Vermont and employees in the navy yard. An investigation by the board of health showed that there had been at the naval hospital six cases of disease pronounced to be yellow fever, three of which hud proved fatal. Three patients are now in the hospital, Michael Flynn and G. F. Olney, sailors, and Michael Carroll, landsman. Tiik Men Wiio Killed Ladd.? Washington, July 19.?Soino discussion took plnce at the Cabinet meeting to-day with reference to the internal revenue troubles in South Carolina.? Four revenue officials, while in search of Redmond, the illicit distiller, killed, in self-defence, a man named Ladd, in whose house Redmond was concealed. They were indicted for murder. An attempt was made to have the case transferred to the United States Court. This having been positively refused, the attorneygeneral announced that ho would direct the tlie United States marshal to take out a writ of habeas corpus for the transfer of the prisoners.
