Louisvn.Lt:, July 4.?At 10 o'clock this mointng the streets were well uiglt impassable, the buildings were haudsoinely decorated, and unparalleled interest was felt iu the great e.-cnt of the day. When llic drum tapped for the great four-mile race to-day Ten Uroeck and Mollio McCarthy went by the string like twin bullets. Ten Uroeck had the outside of tho track, and the mare, being on the inside, tan to the front from the start. At the first quarter they were side by side and going gallantly on to victory. The half mile did uot change tho position, and as they moved onward the thirty thousand spectators were held in perfect silence, between the half and three-quarters the mare got her nesc ahead, and a great, cheer went up, and then as they came past the siring nnd she again appeared in < t iic front another cheer was heard. The mure was moving easy, but Ten Hroeck was being i driven hard.
