appropriation bills were finally passed except
the smaller ones, such as the West I'oint bill,
covering a very much larger amount than when
reported from the House committee.
It in to be noticed that, except the increased
amounts in the regular appropriation 'tills, there
wni no tendency to extravagance. No .subsidy
fclicmes succeeded, and the largest and most
persevering lobby of this generation was defeated
on every measure it had hoped to force
through in the lute days of the session.

A Vkhy Goon Reason.?The reason why oniy
one sample bottle of Mkurkll's IIkpatine for
the Liver will be sold to the same person, for
ten cents, by our Druggists, G1BBES & CO., is
because of the enormous expense of importing
the llcpatinc into this country ; but as there
are fifty doses in the large size bottle, it seems
two cents per dose is cheap enough after all for
a medicine that cures dyspepsia and liver complaint.
All who have not had a sample bottle
are entitled to one for ten cents at G1BBES &
CO.'S Drugstore. Three doses relieves any case
of dispepsia, constipation, indigestion or liver
complaint, in the world. Regular size bottles,
