BY Xn Act of the Legislature, passed at its last session, a considerable portion of the School Fund derived from the l'oll Tax has been assigned to tho payment of past school claims ; and by another Act the Salary of the County School Commissioner is made payable from the School Fund of the County. These two deductions will diminish, to a considerable extent, the fund from which the expenses of the current school term will have to be met, ami it is very desirable that the amount available for that purpose should not he exceeded.
