States Senator after voting solidly for
him 115 times. Farmer Cockrell made
ill address. Ile said lie had not come
back to the Democratic party and
would not till it became the party of the
people. Ile decleared however, he had
always intended to vote for Palmer,
provided the Farmers could notelect
their man. In conclusion Cockfell said
inpressively, now, on behalf of 4,000,000
farmers, I wish to varn you that you
cannot make (rover Cleveland the next
President of the (*nited States. A large
portion of the audience appearently
only heard the words "Cleveland" and
"next President," and yelled with de
lighted intensity.
