A Grent Error.
Very often the lieada of families fall
into the grievous way of keeping their
children away from school on tiomo
slight pretext or ia.ginary v.wrong dono
them by the tetw-her in enforcing, the
rules by whieh the school is governed.
To tachi a successful school thern must
be a firm and rigid disciplinle, and
if the pupils are not to be held in check
by persuasioa, the teacher is then com
pelled to pinisli the refractory ones inl
some way to imake the rules effective. It
is then tHit the parents commit an error
by taking the matter in hand and con
chiding that their child is persecuted and
henceforth they keel) them from school,
thereby doing the coming man or vo
man a great wrong by de)riving them of
the advantages of an early start in secur
ing an education. Parentq should be
very careful about giving their children
all idea that they will not have to submit
to the discipline of the school room.
