will give Cleveland and Hendricks 221
votes--20 more than is niecesary to elect.
There is a strong probiability of other
Northern Statese casting their electoral
tutes for the Democratic eandidates, but
wvebelieve those mentioned are reasoni
bly certain, and that Cleveland aw.l Hen
dricks will be triumlphantly elected.
Blecause there is no0 oppositioni to our
local ticket, we should not be inidifferent
about voting. Th'le Rads are going to
try to carry the State for Blaine, and ox
peu.L to poll every vote. This is one rca
- son why they are making no effort on the
State and local tickets. 'They think to
throw the Democrats off, their guaird b)y
this means, andl capture the electoral vote
of. the State, If the Deomocrats turn out
arrd vote they will be beaten, but if they
do not, the State may go for IBlaino. By
one supreme effort in 1876 the yoke of
oppression was throwvn off in our State;
by one supreme effort it can be thrown
