We are having lovely weather and
the farmers are busy as bees har
vesting their crops. There has been
very little rain this fall, and all
Hie fodder, much forage and a good
pea crop have been saved In fino con
dition. Sorghum Li pretty well made
up, and a fine potato crop is ready
to dig when the time comes. Cot
ton is opening about as fast as it
can bo picked. Many vegetables,
such as beans, peppers, cucumbers,
cabbages, etc., aro being pickled and
canned for future usc. Muscadines,
grapes and "simmons" aro ripe,
..possums" are numerous and fat,
and some of them will he found and
caught.
