The effect was beautiful. The following program of music was rendered before the cere mony: Trannerei, by Frank Haw kins, on the violin; "All for You," by Mrs. James Lowry; Barcarolle, violin, Mr. Hawkins; Bridal Chorus, from Lohengrin, Mrs. Lowry. Will Davis to Be Brought Back from Virginia and Given Trial. ( Farm and Factory, June 28.) Will Davis, colored, employed here not long aj;o on the double-track work, was the person who a few months ago broke into M. B. Gosnell's store at Corutenay and carried off groceries, provisions, clothing and other goods. Davis is now in jail in a Virginia town and will be brought to Ocouee, probably this week, to stand flrial at the term of court which opens in Walhalla on July 2d. Davis was connected with the Gos nell robbery through bis own indis cretion in trying to dispose of meat and Hour In Virginia, these articles having been stolen here. He was ar rested by Virginia authorities for an other crime and while the authorities were investigating this case they found where be had tried to dispose of the provisions referred to above. Davis informed them that he pur chased the meat, etc., in Seneca, from Costello's commissary. They com municated with partios here and found this statement to be untrue. Shortly after Gosnell's store was broken into Davis gave to a Seneca negro a pair of pants which came from Gosnell's stock. He also sold flour and other articles of merchan dise to negroes near Courtenay. Deputy Sheriff B.'tR. Moss and Ru ral Policeman Dalton exchanged pic tures of Davis with the Virginia au thorities and they are sure Davis ls the man wanted here. Mr. Dalton says he has sufficient evidence to con vict the prisoner. Aircraft Ex|>erts Safe.
