The men were disguised only with
false mustaches and goatees. They

hind, who was closely following.
They were not far behind the train

When they oame to Jeff, in the
women's coach, he pulled his re
volver and took a shot at the fore
most robber, who shot twice at bim.
The first abet went wild and struck

What Do They Curet
Tho abovo question Is often asked con
cerning Dr. Pierce's two loading medi
cines, "Golden Medical Discovery" and
"Favorite Prescription."
Tho answer ls that "Golden M?dical
Discovory " is a mo9t potent alterative or
blood-purifier, and tonic or invigorator
,nd acts especially favorably in a cura
, Ive way upon all tho mucous lining sur
faces, as of tho nasnlapnssagcs, throat,
bronchial tubos, stomach, bowels and
bladder, curing a largo nor cent, of catar
rhal cases whether tho disenso affects tho
nasal passages, tho throat, larynx, bron
chia, stomach (as cat a rr hal dyspepsia ),
bowels (as mucous diarrhea), bladder,
uterus or other pelvic organs. Even In
tho chronic or ulooratlve stages of these
affections, it Is often successful In affect
ing cures.
Tho "Favorito Prescription" ls advised
for tho euro of ono class of diseases-those
peculiar weaknesses, derangements and
irregularities inc lout to women only. It
ls a powerful yet gently acting Invigorat
ing tonic and nervine. For weak worn
out, over-worked women-no matter what
has caused tho broak-down, "Favorite
Proscription "will bo found most effootlvo
in building up tho strength, regulating
tho womanly functions, subduing pain
und bringing about? a healthy, vit;
condition of the wholo system.
A book of particulars wraps each bottle
giving tho foruudie of both medicines and
?ploting what scores of eminent med
eal authors, whoso works are consulted
oy physicians of all tho schools of practice
ns guides In proscribing, say of each In
gredient entering Into theso medicines.
The words of praise bestowed on tho
several ingredients entering into Doctor
Pierce's medicines by such writers should
have moro wolght than any amount of
non - professional testimonials, because
such men aro writing for tho guldanoo of
tholr medical brethren and know wheroof
they speak.
Both medicines are non-alcoholic, non
secret, and contain no harmful habit
forming drugs, being composed of glyceric
extracts of the roots of nativo, American
medicinal forest plants. They aro both
.sold by dealers In medicine. You can't
I a fiord to accept as a substitute for ono of
theso medicines of known composition,
