If you visit Seneca City and want any drugs,

Tho building of thc Hine Ridge Railroad ls

tho first of April.
Revs. J. lt. Riley and Hugh Strong filled tho
Presbyterian pulpit for Rev. S. L. Morris on
last Sunday. They preached edifying sermons.
Mr. A. C. Pinkind, who has been filling tho

Du. M ITCH KM. has removed from the office ho
occupied, opposite V. L. Norman's drug store, j
to Venter's Hall, over the store-room of ErvIn ,
& Veiner, where ho cun bc found at all hour*,
when not professionally engaged.
There is not a better or more accommodating
merchant in Seneca limn IV. II. Stanton. Ho
keeps a large stock of goods and sells them at
prices which command trade. You will also
find something pure nud exhilarating near by,
which will wann up thc inner mau these freez
ing days.
Tho new Methodist Chu roll of Walhalla is
expected to bc finished by tho middle of this
mouth, and its dedication will tako place at
tho first quarterly mooting fur this circuit,
which will bc on tho 18th and 19ih of Feb
ruary.
Mr. J. M. Dumas has been removed as
postmaster at Seneca City and ?Mr. Alexander

postmaster on last Monday.
Mr. II. W. Kuhtmnnn, who has been

Norton for several months, left for Mine?la,
Toinv, last week. As Mr, Kuhl ni nn expects
to become a citizen of tho Lone Star State,
ho intends to lin tah Ibo mudy of law there.
Mr. Kuhtmnn is a talented and promising
young man and wo wish him much success in
his new liold of labor.
"Richland City" is tho name of another
town recently laid efl" and established in this
county. It is about midway between Seneca
City nnd Westminster. A depot is to bo

IMotliodist Church to tho Walhalla. Dramatic
Club fora generous donation of fifteen dol

TUB ASSASSIN FURIOUS WHEN TOLD HE

WASHINGTON, January 26.-There was an
animated discussion in tho Waldon's room nt

address,
It was arranged Ihnt for tho nest week no
ono shall bo permitted to interviow tho

onco told him that ho must not attempt any-,
thing of tho kind in tho futuro, ns it only
prejudiced his onso nnd injured his ultimate
prospects. Mr. Scovillo's manner was kind but
firm an ho added ;
"You havo tnlkod and written too rouoh

Guitcnu's oyo flashed with nngor and
With great vohemonco ho turned upon Mr.

"But," expostulated Mr. Scoville, "don't

addresses und tho people look ut them in a
different light from what you intend and ex

"No, thoy don't," angrily retorted Quitouu.
"Don't I read tho papers and haven't I got
judgment?"
Mr. Scoville-Now, can't you yet seo tho
folly of this course? Have you rend what
thc jury say about your talk and your spocch? I
Guiteuu-I don't caro n soup what thc
