Death is at all times sad. This feeling is In
tensified when the death of ono who was bc?
loved by all passes away. We aro thus im
pressed in announcing the death of Mrs. Julia
Maxwell, of this placo, wife of Mr. Samuel E.
Maxwell. Her death was very sudden of discaso
of tho heart. Mrs. Maxwell had passed tho
medium of life. Buring this period, by her
gentle mauncrs and Christian graces, sho had
won the respect and affection of all who knew
her. Her remains wcro buried on Sunday, an
inclement day, in thc Baptist Church grave
yard, after tho beautiful Episcopal buryal
services were read by Rev. Mr. Logon. Thc
largo attendance attested tho deep feeling of
tho community. Many of hor old servants,
who bad been brought willi her in her youth
from her home in tho low country, followed lier
sadly and in grief lo tho grave. Her bereaved
family and friends have the sympathy of tho
entire, community.
