Thc 1st day of May, 1K02, tho en tire crop of wheat of this region of country was almost entirely killed with tho frost. My crop wa* not injured in the least. Another proof that is known by my neighborhood-that lhere never has been an ontiro failure of the peach crop or any other fruit, even my chestnut 01 chard never fails. An old gentleman, spending n few days with me. that had travelled over the United Slates and Europe, said ho had never heard of a chestnut orchard before. Ho said he heard ono gentleman in Washington City suy ho was going to Kentucky lo plant a chestnut orchard, and he could get $25.00 n bushel for them in New York.
