The undersigned, commissioners to manag
the Henderson* tend Sale, rogrot to ann nu nc?
to the publia that a sufficient number of tioketa
bav? not bcon disposed of to justify the propri
etor in allowing a transfer of tho property1 bfc
the |at of Septo ?ber t and they havo concluded
to postpone the drawing until the 28tSa day
Of pecembCr, A869?, , ,,. ".., . y>
' A large number of tioketa hare been sold,'
and we entertain but little doubt that all will
be disposed of bv the time flied above. We
think' we are acting in the interests of tioket
holders in seeking to have none others than
those who have purohaaed tickets, share in the
drawing. Should the drawing take place now,
tho proprietor Would be compelled, in order to
eave himself fruin looa, to take hie chance in
the drawing with the unsold tioketa. This he
does not wish to do nor do wo desire that he
should do it.
The postponement ia for a short time only,
And aa the possession of the farm? cannot bo
surrendered-being rented cut fijf the present'
year, nor the rent oollooted until the lat Janu
ary next; it Can make but little difference with
those who aro so fortunato aa to win whether
thev succeed on tho Int of Septembor or the
28th day of December. 1869. '
The ownor of the property will hold po tickets,
and wo trust thole' who have' them will wait
cheerful Iv for the time fixed bv us-for titer?
will positively fee kio AM her ftot^fc
poaitcMient. ' '
The money arising from the sale of tickets
is in the bank, to our erodlt, and the owner of
the property cannot in any wa} use or control
it until after the drawing and the transfer of
property. The increasing interest in the
.ohem*, on J tho oonB'ience manifested through
out the country in ita fairness, justify us in UK
opinion .that the scheme Will certainly be a
great success. .. ,,
