A correspondent of tho " lticlunoud Whig,"
who has just visited tho scone of tho great
murrender, furnishes tho following, dated ut

with lattice work. Tho yard is small, with a
fine plat of grass shaded with locust trees.
At about half past 10 o'clock, Gens. Lee and
Grunt met in the parlor, which is about eigh
teen feet square, comfortably furnished, the
walls decorated with pointings. The inter
view lasted until after 2 o'clock. Major Me
Laine has thu names of all who wore present,
