The Assembly, after sitting for upwards
of eighteen months, has adjourned. '
At the last sitting, but one application
was made to prosecutc two Representatives
for seditions. A libel gave rise to
some discussion, during which there was
,an altecation between Pierre Bonaparte,
,, and an elderly Representative, who ro
I ceivctl a blow in his fur.e. They were
.ordered into custody. Bonaparte is to be
tried for the olTencc.
The President, on his return from Rouen/md
Havxe, experienced sickness similar
to cholera.
Paris and the surrounding districts had
been relieved from martial law, and tranquility
ucrfectlv maintained.
IThe fmportntions of cotton into Havre
had materially increased. The receipts
from January 15th to tho 31st July, amounted
to 318,909 bales, against 225,108
during the samo period the preceding
year. The sales had also increased. A
greater degree of commercial activity preI
vailed than for ovule lime past.

received information that Austria had
applied to ?avaria for military assistance,
and that the latter power was about to

feeling of dissatisfaction at not being permitted
to return to Paris.
A letter received in Patfs from Nienna,
states that the Government had resolvnd
to negotiate with the Hungarians, Austria
and Hungary.
The accounts from Vienna are of much
interest. The entrance of the Hungarians
from Cormoran into Raab, is fqlly confirmed.
They only diftcr as to the booty
