Mr. J. B. Reagin, near Langford's mill
was consumed by fire on Sunday nighi
last, by which he sustained a loss o
between-four and five hundred pound!
of flour and twenty-five bushels of oats,
Mr. W. B. Reagin, who had just moved
:to the place, lost some flour and othei
artieles. The fire was no doubt the
work of incendiaries, w4o broke in,
robbed, then fired.

Beer.
The Cincinnati Gazette makes the aston
;hing announcement that Cincinnati beer
s no longer pure, but adulterated with mo
asses, sugar of starch, fusel oil and the
oisonous coichicum. The Cornmissioner
f Agriculture, in his report for 1865, says
hat Prof. Mapes, of New York, analyzed
the beer from a dozen different breweries,
ad found all of it adulterated. Cocculus
ndicus'and nux vomica entered largely in
o its composition.
J. C. SEEGERS guarantees his beer to be
ure and reliable. He does not. adulterati
t, but brews from the best barley, malt and
