The sessions of this body were hLld

Abbeville . Medium. .that the upening
sermon of the occasion wms preached
by the ReV. R..W. '3rice, of Chester,
the retiring moderator. The sermoni.
was one..of the preacher's very best
solid, substurtial and elount.. Rev.
James A. Lowry, of Alabama. was
elected moderator. The stated clerk.
Rev.' Janies' Roycle, D.D.,'was at his
post, and the Rev., W. M. Grier. D.P..
