Kennedy & Boykin, Capt. W. L. De Pass, Messrs.. Hodgson & Dunlap, Mr. R. M.-Kennedy, Mr. J. S. Cloud, Mr. F.- S. Zmp and Mr. Wm. Wallace. Total amount of loss 50,000, insurance about one-half. M% )?erly, of Lexington, S. C.,-was entered by some person. or per sons and robbed ofgoods to the"amount of three or foui hundred dollrs. The first -instalment of immigrants, four in number, arrived in Winnsxi-o on Tuesday. They are from Ireland. SThe UNion-Herald of Columbia, says: -'there are at the Fair.Grounds .so~me sixty Italians,.all of whom, exeept two or tfiree, are men-labonng men. They have come hero under the hope of bet tering their condition, and will proba foim an Italian colony in Spartanburg county.- There is a real scarcity of lat bor ia partsof the up country, and room for all those that our people can afford to treat well. Now that they ard here, it -becomes: us to do -what we ean to miake them comfortable, -or they, will advise others not to come, and when our State is better prepared to receive them, wve will niot be able to get them. Tiat,we understand, was landed in Coluiia, from New York;.at a cost, ofsabout eleven dlollars apiece.
