ThInksgiving in London.
The telegrams in relation to the recent
thanksgiving in London, given for the
Prince of Vales' recovery, are unAimious
in making of it the bi.gest occasion of its
kind which has taken place this century.
It is estimated that more than a million
people were te.nporarily add d to the
popuiatioin of the city, while the general
attendance is set down as several mil.
lions. The line of match was seven
miles long. Os;.y fourteen thousand
people could get into the Cathedral where
the services were conducted, while the
thousands who coul-! noz get in listened
to the grand music from the outside.

who ask their owii prices. It is high tine
that the high rates of type be reduced,
and the only way to accompih this is
to.repeal the tariff, which benefits the

a coiaparative poor condition. 0'ir nemni
