iYednesday, October 18, 18?1, Episcopal Convention. At the Episcopal Convention held at Baltimore, the Rev. Win. Bell White Howe was consecrated assistant bishop of South Carolina. The sermon was 1 preached by the Right Rev. Lord B. Sel wyn, Bishnp of Litchfield, England. Two Bishops have been appointed to prepare a book of common prayer in the Spanish language. The Temperance Advocate. This paper comes to us this week in an enlarged, and otherwise improved form, printed from new material entirely, and presents a neat and beautiful ap pearance. We congratulate the "Order," that it has so creditable and worthy an Advocate, and bespeak f>r it a large and liberal support, not cny from the niem bers of th order, but from many others.
