We CA- WIN!-North Carolina not only overcame a majority against her of 20,000, backed by Holden's armed mili tia, held in terrorem over the State, but re deemed herself by a handsome majority from 10,000 to 15,000-making a change of between 30,000 and 40,000 votes. One-half this change (if every man who is opposed to the present corrupt ring will vote,) will carry South Carolina! Will the people do their duty? We call upon them, in the name of everything that is honest and that is dear to them, to put aside their prejudices and go to work. Tun TvuF.-The Edgefield Advertiser says : "Our popular fellow-citizen, Col. Thos. G. Bacon, has lost a splendid horse at Long Branch-Lynchburg--one of the most promising horses upon the Ameri can turf. In a race of three mile heats, while running in the second heat, Lynch burg, from some imperfection in the track, broke his shoulder. He had won the first heat, and was in the lead when this terrible accident happened to him. It is reported that the track owners have paid Colonel Bacon $5000 as indtmnity. This, however, so far as his friends are informed, is not true. Subsequent to thi.s, an important race had been won by Colonel Bacon's mare, Nannie Douglas." NOTICE TO ATJ-.
