UNDER the patronage and influence of prominent land-holders, I have begun the preparation of a series of LITHOGRAPH MAPS of some of the Counties of the State of South Carolina, accompanied by suitaole letter press descriptions. The object proposed is the circulation of 50,00 copies of these in pamphlet form, far and wide throughout the country, in iting the iaidustrious working man, with or without capital, and from whatever quar ter of the globe he may come, to seek a hone in our State, particularly that portion known as the uipper belt, so abounding in miinerals and building material, withb almost unlimited water power and blessed with a soil that will abundantly re~pay the labors of the industrious and intelligent agricultu To the Manufacturer, this pamphlet will show where valuable water power may be had, with amount of head attainable, price of lind in vicinity, and railroad and market facilities. To the Miner, it will be a guide as to where he may either find remunerative em ployment, or purchase lands, on which the valuable metallie cres are known to exist. To the Farmer, good and cheap lands will be offered through its pages, either to buy or remnt, with description of their quiality and surroundings. To the Laborer, it will indicate where profitable employment may be found, with local rates of wages. On the other hand, to the large land-own er, it afTords a medium for advertising his lands, water powers an d such other interests as tend to attract an influx of both labor and capit il. To Railroad Comparies, Land Agencies, &c., who have a deep inaerest in the rapid filling up and developmerrt of the resources of the State, and are desirous of bringing their claims to attention before the world, no better medium can be afforded. All those feeling a real interest in the fu ture prosperity of our State, and approving the mode proposed for the development -of its resources, by attraciing immigration of the right stamp, and who- may be desirous of obtaining information as to further de tails of the plan, with terms,- &c.,-can obtain such by addressing the undersigned.
