Negro Outrage in Geoi'gla.
The Macon Journal gives the following
hcount of a fiendish outrage committed
by negroes it Georgia:
It appears that on Thursday last, two
rospectaltio young girls residing near
Station 14, upon tho Central Road, wore
on their way home from school, when
they were overtaken by two stout no
groeos, who Immediately seized thet, and
despite their ti.creams 'or aid, committed
a diabolical outrage. Having effected
their brutal duod of violence, one qf the
negroes, who had. but,6te.arimshodk the
mutilated stump of the other in the face

The news of this f1endish deed ran likb
wildlre all thrng.i the neighborhood,
and in a short time a mounted patrol was
organized, who volunteered to go in pur
suit of the couidrels. 'ihey soon fuiid
one of them, whom they qestioned right
sharply, hiut somehow or other the no
gro got lost somewhere in the swnmp,
and the party returned home withot
him.
The other, and by fa.r the worst of the
two, succeeded in eseaping from that
neighborhiod and nade his way toward
Maceon. We are informied that a negro
answering his description was seen ait a
place known as Sandy Bottom, on Sun
day night last, and yesterday the police
were in ht search after him, a reward
of five hutdrud dol.ars having been of
fered for his enpture.

churches in Cherokee county to exclude

Bah I how needlessly some people
will bother theiselves about women
fooling men. The truth is, men don't
like to see woulen perfectly straight all

that church in Cherokee county which
is going to bring its female members to
such a pass, will soon be deserted by
