IN reply to a Notice published in last
week's paper, by J. Y Harris forewarning all
persons not to settle with R. C. Wright, the
notes and accounts of the firm of Harris &
Wright, as he is not the proper one, I say
it was very unjust ini him in so doing, as I
furnished all the funds that started the firm,
with the assistance of Col. W. S. Chalmers
as my surety. The conditions of the firm
were, I purchased a stock of goods from
IIenry Halfacre, to the amount of $777 and
some cents, and J. Y. Harris was to put
in the same amount in money, which he did
not do, and never did put in one dallar.
Now who has the right to settle Lhe firm ?
The debt still hangs over me and my surety,
to be paid. J. Y. Harris has received as
much or more of the assets of the firm than
I have. I have employed a lawyer and
stated the facts to him, in every particular,
and the law shall settle the whole matter.
