Everybody in town seems to have the "Fox-trot" craze, as the one-step was not as popular as nsual at the dance hall on Friday night. We are glad to learn that the Brookland High School is to pn sent another play at the assembly hall soon, under the skillfoi direction of Mr. Roland Addv, who writes and diteets his own olays?we suppose however that the music will again be furnishpd by the popular pianoi9t, Roof 8healy, who will also play his usual role "Blacklace Comedian." We are glad to learn that oar new barber, Mr. BrowD, has recovered from his illness. Mr. Sanford Bundricb, one of Brookland's popular young men, has completed his course at Draughon's Business College and is to take a position out of town. Mr. Clifton Shealy has accepted a position at Gayden's pharmacy and is already being called "Die." Our jolly friend, Preacher Gibson, is as jolly as ever. Mr. Wilmot Shealy was sick about two days, but we are glad to say he is O. K. again. Mr. Roof Shealy, together with his sister, Miss Effie and cousin, Miss Inez Shealy of Columbia, visited Mr. Henkle Shealy at Edmund Sunday and report a "swell"' time, and of course a good dinner. Miss Kathleen Pamell is now the "Belle" of Brookland. ' J The girls of Brookland High School, under direction of Miss MaryHarr^an, are organizing a basketball team. ; *!
