Early Sunday morning the new $3,000 school house at Lindler's near Ballentine was destroyed by fire. There was no insurance. Not coming to dinner one of his family went to the mill and found him dead with both feet burned off and one hand burning. Evidently he caught a wire overhead and reached forward to turn off the switch with the other hand, and that hand slipping caught another wire.
