The enormous crop will be 317,000,000 more than ever was grown before in the United States in any one year. Barber, near Lesslie, a negro laborer hammered his wife over the head, secured a shotgup and fired two loads of shot into her head. He then set their home on fire and blew his head off with the gun. The two had trouble Sunday, the wife ; going to her mother.
