Officers for another year are, president, Dr. J. 0. Nicholson, of Leesville; vice president, J. R. Lankford, of Swansea; secretary and treasurer, J. J. Wingard, of* Lexington; after which Lexington was named as the meeting place for the January meeting and may there be many returns of this meeting in the tuture. The Coming Attraction. They will be "The Star" of attraction down town on the Scott Hondrix lot during the Fair. They come endorsed by press and pulpit, and have played to crowed houses all over the State. The question of Lexingtonians after seeing the show will be "How can they do it for ten cents" the price of admmission to one and all. Batesburg Opposed to the Dispensary. The meeting was largely attended by both sex and resolutions were apopted, stating that a large majority of the citizens opposed to the dispensary or any other mode of liquor selling, and that the establishment of a dispensary there would be detcriraental to tho town. For these reasons we do earnestly plead and prt?y that the Dispensary Board of Lexington County will not force upon us and our community one of j the worst calamities that could befall j us and onr children by placing a dis- : pensary in the town of Batesburg.
