clemency 619 casts. This is perilously
near the 1000 mark that he has expressed
a hope to reach.
Mr. Fitzmuiriep, one of Columbia's
leading merchants, finds his bnsiness
growing to snch an extent that he has
to have more room consequently he is
going to build. For this reason be is
compelled to place a large and well
elected stock of goods on the market
at exceptionally low prices. This is a
chare * for purchasers to secure bargains
in all styles and classes of goods
Messrs W. D. Dent, 0. E. Oorley
and 0. W. Caughman, three of Lexington's
popular citizens attended the
Oratorical Contest at Wintrop College.
They came back enthnsed with either
the eloquence of the young Demosthe

How Bad Backs Have Been
Made Strong-Kidney Ills
Corrected.
All over Lexington yon hear it Doan's j j
Kidney Pills are keeping up the gooa i
work. Lexington people are telling I
about it?teling of bad back6 made
soand again. You can believe the
testimony of your own townspeople.
They tell it for the benefit of you who
are suffering. If your back aches, if
you feel lame, sore and miserable, if
the kidneys act too frequently, or passages
are painful, scanty and off color,
use Doan's Kidney Pills, the remedy
that ha3 helped so many of your
friends and neighbors. Follow this
Lexington citizen's advice and give .
Doan's a chance to do the same for
yon. *
William P. Steele, singing teacher,
Main St., Lexington, S. C , says: ^The
passages of the kidney secretion* were
attended with pain and I knew that I
needed a kidney medicine. Finally,
I got Doan's Kidney Pills from Dr.
Derrick's Drag Store. They gave me
immediate relief. I recommend this
