A Negro Arrested.
Sheriff Sim J. Miller arrested fa
negro named Ben Lee Monday night
and lodged him in jail, upon a warrant
charging him with assault and battery
and carrying concealed weapons It
appr-ars that Lee shot and probably
mortally wounded W. Boston,, last
Saturday night in a barber shop at
Leesville.
Roof's Store Robbed.
Some time Friday .night- robbers
entered the store of G. H. Roof, at
Barrs. and stole a lot of merchandise.
The thieves entered by means of prizing
the front door. Sheriff Miller has
