It ha9 been progressing nicely under the management of Miss Viola Sharpe, Oar enrollment is now 90. Misses Pearle and Myrtie Gleaton have returned home after an extended visit to White Rock. Miss Jettie Cooper and Josephine Kirkland spent Sunday with the Misses Gleaton, Miss Jnlia Jackson and brother Tillman, spent Wednesday and Thursday in StranfiPA Messrs. Lawton Reed and Eddie Knotts, of near Sally, spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of Mr. T. J. Kin$. Mr. Ebbie Sharpe and Rev. MoGill dined at the home of Mr. W. Q. Jackson Sunday. Misses Nealie and LuMle Peele spent the week end with Mrs. W. M. Laird, Miss OJara Yonce, of the Pelion section, is spending awhile with Miss Annie Barr9. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reed and littie daughter, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. N. M. Jeffcoat. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Livingston and children spent Sunday at the home of Mr. S. P. Cooper. Brown Eyes. Boiling Springs News. Services next Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. ? Mr. Samuel Croat, the famous pump man of onr section, has been doing some work for J. W. Ballington. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Hite, eD tertained their young friends with a pouud party and cake walk on Saturday night, the 8th inst. Miss Bertha Howard and her brother ! ; ' Moody, made a delightful visit to their orother, Bp. C. C. Howard, down in the Swansea section last week. Mr. H. A. Howard made a flying trio to Lexington one day last week. Mr. P. P. Duvall has left this section for oetrer quarters. Miss Bertha Keisler, the daughter of Mr. J. WillieKeisler, has returned to Sammeriand Seminary, which she has been art?i^ding for several months. A bright and charming girl she is. Mrs. Alice Rankin and son, will move back to their place on Chinquepin at an early date. Tuck. Dots from the X Roads. Dear Mr. Editor: Tne grain crop is looking fine in this section, and the people are busy this season. v The school at Cros9 Roads is getting along very nicely at thi3 writing. Mr. D. A. Jeffcoat is the teacher. We are glad to learn that our friend J Mr. W. F. Mack, is improving. Mr. W. L Rister lost a tine milch cow a few days ago. Mr. G. Pelham Craft is building a nice little residence on his place. Mr. and Mrs. Wise Hut'c were the gnests of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Shealev, and Silas Amick. Pine Ridge school is progressing nicely under the efficient management of Prof. W. H. Derrick and Miss Blana Fulmer, assistant. Mr. John Swygert, a student of New berry College, visited Lis parents a few days last week. Miss Bessie Bickley gave her friends a nice time last Saturday, ar. a party and an old fashioned cake walk.
