Missionary Services.
| There were special missionary an<i
i song services held in St. scepnen
Luthern Church last Sunday evening.
Rev. P. D. Risinger made a very interestiDg
missionary address covering
the glorious work which has already
been accomplished in the mission
fields occupied bv this denomination
and that which is yet to be done by
those who have gone ont from homes,
relatives and friends to win the world
for Christ. The whole exercises of the
evening was a treat to the large congregation
and the offering for the
causo of missions was satisfactory.
Miss Barre Entertained,
Miss Ernestine Barre was the chaiming
hostess of a delightful Card party
in honor of her guests, the Misses
Weeks, last Thursday evening. Messrs.
Calliscn and Taylor won the prizes,
who gracefully presented them to the

of he pleasures of the evening and
enjoyed the hospitalities of the hostess
were the Misses Weeks, Lottie Wise,
Pearl, May and Annie Taylor, May
Boozer, Anna Martha Meetz, Ruth
and Caro Efird and Jennie Brown,
and Messrs. Ben Hook, Dr. Sawyer,
M. D. Denny, Charlie Taylor, T. C.
Oallison, Sam P. Roof, Julian 0.
Meetz and Gus Barr.

Again and again we have read o*

I have observed the good r. salts that

He used Doan's Kidney Pills and they
gave him immediate relief. We do not

The Lyric.
It i9 a well known fact that no better
moving pictures are placed on the
curtain than yoo find at the Lyric
Theatre, Columbia. They are life1
like in photo and movement, clean
and interesting. Many of them his|
torieal and represent different scenes
.of2Western life and Shakespjarian in
character and play9. Your time will
' be well spent if yon will only go. The
sonl-9tiriDg music by the orchestra is
