Special to Tbe Dispatch. Newberry, Sept. 26.?The regular exercises of Newberry College opened on last Thursday at 8:45 in Holland hall. The address was delivered by the Hon. C. M. Efird, of Lexington. Mr. Efird was selected as the main speaker and his welcomed topics felated to advise to the boys. He held the attention of the entire audience for half an hour. He was followed by the pastors of the city churches, and each gave the students a cordial welcome to Newberry.
