Notice is hereby given that there
will be a meeting of the creditors of
the above named bankrupt estate at
Lexington, S C., on the 23rd. day of
September, 1912, at elven o'clock in
the forenoon for the purpose of authorizing
the trustees to enter an agreement
with the secured creditors of said
estatft for the surrender of their secur
ities and the release of claims against
the estate growing ont of endorsements
made by the said W. P. Roof and for
the further purpose of taking such
steps as may be necessary to effect a
speedy settlement of the said estate,
for the examination of the bankrupt
and for the transaction of such otner
business as may properly come before
said meeting.

.New Hardware Firm.
A charter has been issued to the
Barre Hardware Company of Lexington
by the Secretary of State. The
n w firm will have a capital of ?6,000,
and will conduct a general hardware
business. It is understood that the
new firm will open up in the building
now occupied by the Bank of Western
Carolina. Mr. W. W. Barre and Mr.
J. A. Barre are the petitioners.
