CHARTER FOR ELECTRIC LINE Proposed Line From Columbia to Augusta is More Tangible (Colombia Record, Aug. 16) A dispatch from Augusta several days ago told of the organization in that city of a corporation known as the Carolina & Georgia Railway company, which would operate an electric line between the cities of North Augusta and Columbia. This morning the secretary of state issued a commission to the company with a minimum capital of $100,000, payable 20 per cent, upon organization and the balance upon the call of the directors any time thereafter, the petitioners being James U. Jackson. A. A. Walden, L. J. Williams, J. L. Barksdale, Walter M. Jackson, Jr., of North Augusta, S. C. and Frank E. Courtney of Atnmsfra. Qa. Two Young Girls Missing The dissapearance of Miss Eren Fulton, 23 years old, and Mis9 Eva Cunningham, 24, both of Philadelphia, and the finding of some of their clothing and personal effects in a public bath house at Atlantic City, N. J., has led to the belief that they have been drowned. Neither of the young women have been seen since they engaged bathing suits and started to the surf.
