The elephant at Grant Park, Atlanta, has worn out one of its feet, and is 90 badly crippled that the menagerie keeper is considering the advisability of petitioning the park board for money to buy it a wooden leg. The left hind foot of the big animal is all worn down on the side, like a fat womau's shoe-heel, and has got so bad that it can hardly navigate without a serious limp. A sprained ankle may as a rule be cured m from three to four days by applying Chamberlain's Liniment and observing the directions with each bottle. For snle by all dealers. In the criminal court for Dillon county last week twelve men weie sentenced t-o the chaingang in two hours and 35 minutes. Sentences range from two months to ten years, aggregating something over 30 years. It is now well known that not more than one case of rheumatism in ten requires any internal treatment whatever. All th it is needed is a free application of Chamberlain's Liniment and massaging the parts at each application. Try it and Bee how quickly it will relieve the pain and soreness. If the chair is not completed in time for the electrocution, and there is little doubt that it will be completed b^ June 21, the governor will likely be asked to grant the condemned men re < prieves until such time as the chaii can be installed, which may be earlj in July. Deafness Cannot Be Cured by local applications, an they cannot reach the diseased portion of the ear. There is only one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies. Deafness is caused by an inflamed condition of the- mucous lining of the Eustachian Tube. When this tube is inflamed you hare a rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely closed, deafness is the result, and unlpss the inflammation can be taken out and this tube reI stored to its normal condition, hearing | will be destroyed forever; nine cases out of ten are caused by Catarrh which is nothing but an inflamed con dition of the mucous surfaces. We will give One Hundred Dollars for any case of Deafness caused by catarrh that cannot be cured by Hall's Catarrh Cure. Send for circulars, free. F. J. CHENEY & CO., Toledo, 0.
