"POLITICS is mixed a trifle;
There is something in the air.
No one knows where we are going;
But it seems to be somewhere.
Some insist we are advancing.
Others see the course downhill,
But from each is the conclusion
That we are not standing still.
There are busy social forces
That are pushing at the cart.
Giving it in some direction.
Up or down, a mighty start.
If we look upon the movement
As the right one or the wrong,
That makes very little difference.
We have got to go along.
So you see the people trying
On the future light to shed.
Is It chaos, is it progress.
That is looming just ahead?
They can see a change is coming
By the lightning through express,
But its kind or size or measureThat
ts more than they can guess.
Calm your fears and cease your worry.
Things may look a trifle blue.
Clouds may lack their silver lining,
But the country will pull through.
While we know that we are drifting,
Where is quite beyond our ken,
But we've stormed some nasty weather,.
And we'll do it once again.

.A 8 The Dispatch has been coming
to me regularly, I will send you a fe*
items from the Land of Flowers.
This is a pretty healthy place populated
by good people from nearly every
State in the Union. Aside froir
growing Oranges and raising truck,
but little farming is done here. This
city affords a good market for everything.
This :is principally a railroad town,
being the terminal of the Atlantic
Coast Line.
The Standard Oil Company and the
Gulf Refining Company operate plants
here, and pay good wages.
Land is pretty high, but there i e
plenty to sell, and any one own
their own home here if they do not
live beyond their means. It is easier
for me to live here than any place 1
have ever been.
I am sending that dollar along to
help the wheels turn.
