penalty will be added to those who

an additional 1 per cent, will be added

per cent, penalty for February. Still
an additional 5 per-cent, panalty will
be added on March 1st., making 7 per
cent, penalty to be paid by those who
have not paid by March 1st, 1912.

Many Days In Box Car.
Imprisoned fourteen days, withoul
food or water in a freight car, in which
he had endeavored to beat his way
from Cincinnati to Charlotte, George
Johnson was found iu a semi-consciou9
condition, frozen stiff, when the car
arrived at Charlotte. His condition
has excited the interest of medical experts,
and every effort is being made
to revive the flickering spark of life.
Johnson, who is a native of the village
of Mount Holley, near here, lei home
several years ago to seek a home in
the we9t. The car was locked and
sealed and his presence was not discovered
until the car was opened 14
days after it was pulled out of Cincinnati.

Life Not Worth Living.
Hurling himself in front of a freight
train at Milledgeyille, Ga , Arthur
Weisenbaker, aged 72, a pellagra patient,
wa9 instantly killed, the train
cutting off his head. An attendant in
charge of him attempted to pull him
away from the track, but Weisenbaker
held 011 tightly to the rail until he
was killed.

N. Y., has recovered from a

Divorce and Murder.
Because his wife divorced him wuile
in the workhouse for mistreating her,
Henry Dorman, a laborer, shot,, and
killed her on Main street of Fremont,
Ohio, on Thursday. He then committed
suicide.
