Mr. Jacob Koon, one of the oldest citizens of the Dutch Fork, died at his home near Chapin on last Tuesday, aged about 00 years. Mr. Koon was a Confederate soldier, having fought with valor during the War Between the Sections. He leaves only one brother of his immediate family. ' His remains were buried on Wednesday, the funeral services being conducted by the Rev. W. J.
