Complaining that the railway station
waiting ro^m at ^oynton, Okla.,
was without fire oh a bitterly cold day,
J. M Jackson filed a protest with the
corporation commission and scrutiny
of his allegat ons brought the, discovery
that the Jackson-* are parents of
thirteen children born in three years.,,
Tbeir eldest, a son, is now founeen
years of age, making the personnel of
their progency list fourteen in number
Five years ago in the increase
in the Jackson family became marked.
Twins are now fiv6 years old. Triplets
succeeded twins in twelve months
and in another year triplets, ctme five
children on the tane day. The five
are still aliv^, but the healtn of the

Mr. Lever's Resolution.
Congressman Lever, in the interest
of the farmers of the country, is seeking
to have the department of agriculture
broaden its reports relating to
the cotton crop.
In the .-House of Representatives on
January 3, Mr. Lever introduced the
foilowiug joint resolution; which was

and ordered to be printed:

Miss Mahie Nell Moore, a student
at Lander College, Greenwood, died
Thursday night a week, after an illness
of two weeks. She waa the oldest

the South Caro'ina conference and a
