Mr. Thos. L. Harman has returned
from Lexington, Ky., where he purchased
21 head or fine horses and
moles, the finest lot of stock that bag
ever been seen in this section.
Mr. J. C. Quattlebaom, the populai
general soperintendent^of the Leesville
Mattress Factory, was in town
Monday. Mr. Quattlebaum is the son
f Mr. P. B. Quattlebaum and hag
worked his way np to the highest
round of the ladder. There is no better
young man anywhere and we are
delighted to learn of his deserved success.
J. H. Ay cock & Sons lost their bam
and stables at Wedgefield, Sumtei
county, by fire a 'ew nights ago, inchiding
about four thousand bushels oi
and 11 head of stock. The loss is
estimated at 110,000 to $15,000, with
only a small insurance. The c&ase ol
the fire is sot known.
