A marriage of much interest was
that of Miss Ariene Shall to Mr. Houston
Shull on the afternoon of Wednesday,
November 8 at 6 oVlook, at the
home of the bride's mother," Mrs.
FarifcHJ Shall, near Brookland.
At the appointed hoar the bridal
party entered in the following order:
Miss Sndella Shall and Mr. Herman
Shall; Miss Ora Shall and Mr. Arthur
Roof, followed by the bride and groom.
The ceremony was performed by the
Rev. J. 0. Counts.
Immediately after the ceremony a
delightful reception was held. The
house was lavishly decorated, cedar,
ferns and roses being used.
The bride's gown was of soft white,
trimmed withiace and ribbon. Her
veil was caught op with snow drops.
She carried a bouquet of dhrysantbemnms
and ferns. The bridesmaids
dresses were of white marquisette.
The bride is the eldest daughter of
Mrs. Fannie Shall, and is a young

ties. The groom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harrie Shnll and is a young man
of sterling character.

Death of An Infant
The nine-months-old infant of Mr.
Walter Hendrix died on Monday afternoon
and was buried at PrtftideDce
yesterday morning at 11 o'olodk, the
funeral being conducted by ther Rev.

Mr. Reid To Speak.
J. Whitner Reid, secretary of the
State Farmers' Union, will speak at
two places in Lexington connfcy on
Tuesday, November 28?Crosa Roads
school house at 10 a; m., and Mack's
school house at 1 p. m. The Farmers'
Union work will be explained and it

A local Farmers' Union will be organized
at each place if a sufficient
number of oharter members can be secured.
Cora Show Friday.
The Lexington County Corn Show
will be held here on next Friday, the
24th. The show is to be held under
the auspices of the Lexington County
Corn Growers' Association, of which
Dr. E. C. Ridgell, of Batesburg, is
president.
Besides the cash prizes, a number of
other pretninms will be distributed. A
large crowd is expected.
Church Notice?Methodist
The Rev. J. 0. Counts will preach
at Horeb at 11 a. m., LexiDgton at
3:30 p. m., and at Red Bank at 6 p.
m., on next Snnday, November 26.
This will be the Rev. Mr. Counts's
last appointments before going to tbe
Conference at Bennettsville. Public

Thanksgiving Services.
The usual Thanksgiving service of
Bethel charge will be held in the
church at White Roc's on Thanksgiving
day, November 30th, at 11 o'clock.
