Xo other medicine for woman's ills
has received such wide-spread and unqualified
endorsement. Xo other medicine
we know of has such a record
of cures as has -Lydia E. Pinkham's
Vegetable Compound.
For more than 30 years it has been
curing woman's ills such as inflammation,
ulceration, fibroid tumors, irregularities,
periodic pains and nervous
prostration, and it is unequalled for
carrying women safely through the
period of change of life.

A Woman's Heart.
A womaa's heart is a savings bank
Where the love you deposit lies,
Gathering interest day by day
From the sunshine of the skies.
There isn't a safer place, my lad,
To bury the treasure you'd keep
Than down in its beautiful vaults of
dream
Where the tenderost blossoms sleep,
A woman's heart is the place to
hide
Whatever you'd treasure best;

there are other funds
available for this purpose irom Lexington
county, it is understood. The
election in this township wan hold
during March of this year, and carried
by a large majority.
The next step will probably be the
completion of the sale of the bonds.
A Baltimore firm, Townsend Scott &
Son, ha? secured the right to purchase
the bonds, through a competitive bid.
The bonds must now be lithographed
and the details of the sale completed.
It is thought this should net consume
more than six weeks, if no other objections
to the issue are raised. After
the money has been received from the
sale of the bonds, the commission
winch has charge of the matter will
probably set about to purchase the two
toll bridges gu tbe Congaree and Broad
rivers, to make them free to^all travelers.
The members of this commission
are Messrs. W. G. Childs, George
CofTyn Taylor, J. B. Friday and J. P.
Mathews and Dr. C. L. Kibler.
The bridges are now operated by the
Broad River Bridge company and the
Columbia Bridge company, respectively.
General Wilie Jones, president
and treasurer o* the Broad River
Bridge company, stated some weeks
since that his company had agreed
upon terms of sale of the bridge to the
commission, though he did not state
the price. The bridge over the Congaree
i9 operated by Mr G. A. Guignard,
lessee, and no statement is had
from him as to whether or not a selling
price has been agreed upon. It is
not thought, however that the commission
will find any serious difficulty
in taking over these bridges, under
authority of the power vested in them.
