The Lyric.
The theatrical season being now
open The Lyric, Columbia's popular |
playhouse, is giving its patrons the
best line of attractions in moving
pictures ever seen in the city. Its
manager is to be congratulated upon
the excellent program and pleasing
, features of moving pictures he has
I arranged. The Drice of admission is
so small that the people find it a nice
place to spend an nour or 90 and the
house is generally crowded.
Big Bargains at Pellon.
We beg to call attention to the new
advertisement of D. F. Shumpert, the
old reliable merchant of Pelion. He
has hundreds of bargains to offer you
and it will pay you to call to see him
before buying elsewhere. Mr. Shumpert
is an all-round gentleman, and
needs no words of praise from us.
A Common Lie
The commonest lie for paints is : "A
gallon covers 30? pquare feet twi
coats." It does and it don't; depend*,
on the paint; the old paint; and tinpainter:
all three.
It is true of Devoe with a margin.
, Devoe is too thick for some jobs, the
jainter will add some oil, sometime*
not always; especially in cold weather
.Vlr Albert Page, Fairheld, Me, computed
Devoe for his house (300 ft a
rallon, two coats) at 40 gallons; had
13 left.
